Randvi sat alone in the house of her newly departed husband and stared into the flames of the candles she had lit in her small shrine to Freya. Tears glistened in the light as she curled up on the bed just hollowed out from the inside. It was no way to address a goddess, but she just wanted to sit alongside her, to feel her presence. This was it. This was her new life. No adventure, no battle, just her alone amongst a sea of the enemy. Was this all life would have for her? "I can't do this, my Lady." She sucked in a breath, settling her chin on her knees. "Soon I will gather my things and run." Where to? She had no idea. People would search for her, perhaps she would be dragged back but she could not do this. (This could be for Freya, or Eivor could enter or overhear, I don't mind!)

Eivor had just finished making the stew and milking her cow so the milk was warm to the taste. It was a pretty cold winter incoming, and with the new resident that had joined them, Eivor wanted to try and make Randvi feel as welcome as she could be. the difficulties of joining a new clan were one she was all too familiar with and one she feared might trouble Randvi.

She stepped into the doorway, and Eivor froze upon hearing the words. Randvi was going to run? To where? where would she go? Her lips open for a moment, but couldn't find what she wanted to say. Slowly she set down the bowl of food and the milk and lightly knocked on the doorframe. "Randvi," She whispered, looking over toward the woman who seemed all but broken and lost. As much as her friendship was dear to the woman…. if she would run, the Eivor would help her prepare for it.

No one deserved to be in a place that did not make them happy.
